Slip n Slide

Yesterday we spent the day at Nana and Grandpa's again. This time we brought along the new, three lane slip n slide that Aunt Ann bought Sunshine for his birthday. The boys had a blast, especially since Daddy was there to send them flying down the lanes. It was a little like human bowling!

2 months old

Yesterday my sweet little baby boy turned 2 months old. I have a picture of all of my boys in this hat at 2 months and they are some of my favorites, so of course today I broke it out and got some shots of Krews in it. He is doing great, will go for a 2 months checkup in the next few weeks, is holding his head up well, smiling all the time and starting to laugh, is there anything better than an baby laugh? I didn't think so!!

Sometimes you have to get down and dirty...

Or should I say down and muddy? Yesterday while KB worked, the kids and I spent the day at my parents. They live in the country on 10 acres and we LOVE to spend time there enjoying the outdoors and Nana and Grandpa. As a teen, I'll admit, I hated living in the country, being far from town and everything "fun" but now as an adult with many small boys I dream of living far from town where my boys can run and play and just be boys! Funny how times change! Anyway going to my parents is one of my favorite ways to spend a beautiful, Oklahoma day, it sure beats the heck out of being in my own house alone with all these kids while the hubby works. Yesterday was a wonderful day not too hot, not too windy and just right for making mud! So thats what we did, we went to Grandpa's garden in the nice, freshly tilled soil, turned on the hose and let the boys loose in the mud!! The pictures just don't do justice to all the fun they had, plus since they ditched their clothes it was hard to get a picture that I could share! LOL. I'm sure we will be doing it again soon! Thanks Nana and Grandpa for always allowing us to come and play! We love you so much.

Happy 2nd Birthday Bulldog!!

Happy Birthday to my sweet, curly locked prince! I can't believe it has been two years since I first held you in my arms! You have been such a joy ever since. You are growing into such a funny, big boy. You love to laugh and are all boy for sure! You are rough and tough and love to wrestle with your brothers and yet are gentle with your baby brother. You love chocolate milk and ask for it many times a day. You love running outside, rides on Grandpas tractor and visits to Nana Esthers. You are a cuddler to the extreme and love to rock and snuggle! You always bring a smile to our faces with your funny little voice. You are a wonderful addition to our family and we could not feel more blessed to have you. Thank you so much for enriching our lives! Happy Birthday sweet one.

Celebrate Kindergarten!

Last night Sunshine was in his class musical called "Celebrate Kindergarten" he did a great job! They preformed 9 songs, three of them in Chinese! Thats a lot of songs for them to remember but they all did so well. At the end they all donned their graduation caps! So precious, I tell you. I can't believe I will have a first grader next year.

Scenes from a party!

Yesterday we celebrated Sunshine's 6 birthday. It was supposed to be a swimming party but with the 40 degree temps at night and all the rain it was too cold for that, so we made it a moon bounce party at the last minute. The forecast called for rain all day but we managed to dodge it and it was actually a great day for a party. The kids all had a blast, I didn't do a very good job taking pictures though. My friend Heather made the CUTEST dragon cake !! She is so talented and we are so lucky to have her as our official cake maker!! It also tasted divine, especially since I had been saving up calories all week so I could enjoy a big piece!! It was a great day spent with family and friends!! Happy Birthday Sunshine!!

You know your a Mom When-daze

Once again I'm joining the fun over at Our Daze in the Desert ! Hop on over to see that are Moms are sharing!

1. You know your a mom when you can't go to the bathroom WITHOUT someone watching and/or trying to sit on your lap!

2. You know your a mom when the only way you can run on the treadmill is with a baby in a snugli and while dodging toys being thrown on the treadmill by a toddler.

3. You know your a mom of a teenager and an infant when you know who Justin Bieber is and you catch yourself singing his songs to your crying infant.

4. You know your a stay at home mom when some days the only contact you have with another adult is through twitter.

Look who's smiling!

Thats right, Mr. Grumpy is not grumpy any more. He's discovered his happy face and he has been showing it to me a lot in the last few days! It's adorable, if I do say so myself. I always love those first little, awkward, gummy, smiles!

The first step is the hardest.

Thanks for all the motivation guys! It worked! Today I took my first baby steps toward a better, fitter, skinnier me! I started the day off at the grocery store buying Weight Watchers approved favorites to start me off right. Next I got a new, cute(if i do say so myself) haircut, which always makes me feel great! Then I ate a great lunch, drank lots of water and walked on the treadmill, which my daddy so sweetly delivered today, had a healthy dinner and now am getting everyone ready for bed! Take that fat, unmotivated me!!

Unmotivated

Lately I have been unmotivated, unmotivated to post, unmotivated to cook, unmotivated to do pretty much anything but the basics. There are several reasons for my lack of motivation but mostly it is stress, the stress of adjusting to a new baby, the stress of finances, the stress of having our old house looming over our heads. All this stress is making me crazy and it defiantly taking a toll on my weight and health. So I have decided enough is enough, I am going to get motivated. Motivated to take charge of the one thing I can control, myself. I am going to start exercising and doing weight watchers. I had success with it before and I hope to again. It is just getting started that is hard, which is why I am posting this for all to see, to keep myself on track. After having 4 kids in 6 years I have put on more weight than I would like to admit and now that I am done having babies it is time to tackle the issue. It is hard to exercise with 5 kids, a husband that works nights and no money for a gym but my mom has offered her treadmill to me and so hopefully that will be the ticket for me. As far as the diet, I am less than excited about that, especially since when I am breastfeeding I am STARVING all the time, but I hope to at least curb my sweet tooth. Wish me luck and if you have any suggestions for making this a little easier please send them my way.
