Care Enough to Wear Pink

Since today is the last day of October and the last official day of breast cancer awareness month I thought I would ask for prayers for a good friend is battling this horrible disease. She is a young mother of two girls who has a long family history of the disease and at 30 underwent a mastectomy to prevent getting it. She still got it a few years later and has been battling ever since. The cancer has now spread to her bones and liver. She is an amazing woman, full of life, full of love and an amazing christian. She has lost her grandmother and mother to this disease and her sister is currently in remission. Please pray for Twana's healing and strength for her family. Also pray that a cure for this disease is found soon, so no one else will have to lose a mother, wife, friend, daughter or sister. Halloween Week

It's been a busy week full of parties, field trips, costumes and trick or treating. I have a love/hate relationship with holidays. I love the fun and joy but hate the chaos that all the fun brings along to our five kiddos. Our town is actually trick or treating tonight but since my husband is working today, we decided to go to a neighboring town last night for dinner with friends and trick or treating after with 10 kids!! It was fun to watch the kid run from door to door and the three two year olds we had with us were especially cute, all of them yelling "more candy" as they toddled here and there. Tonight Buttercup is going with some friends and the boys and I are are staying home to pass out candy, they like handing out the candy almost as much as getting it, so it should be fun. I can't believe it is the last day of October!! This year is moving WAY to fast and with the holidays right around the corner it won't slow down anytime soon.

I have noticed that I am not the only one slacking on my blog. Where is everyone?? I need some late night reading!!! Post people. post!!

New Family room wall.

I took my new favorite truck pictures and an idea from my friend Becky and made this cool new wall display for my family room while. I LOVE it. It is a really simple design but I think it adds so much to the room. I'll add individual pics of the canvases later.

How do you save money?

In an effort to tighten our proverbial budget belt, I am looking for new ways to save money. My newest endeavor is coupon clipping. I have read so many blogs where people really save a lot of money with coupons, but truthfully it seems so hard. All the rules and different stores seem a little overwhelming. I have found a few good websites to get me started and signed up at all the diaper websites and things like that but I am still looking for more information. So does anyone have any good ideas on how to save money on groceries and household products? Come on all you big families, i know you have some tips, lay them on me!

I finally found one

I have been looking for an old truck for a few months now and I finally found one! I think I will be coming back to this bad boy in the future. Sorry I have been lacking in the posting department. New hair and new pics...

My daughter decided to color her hair, she was tired of it being light and decided to go darker. At first she was scared of how it looked but now she loves it and so so I. I can't believe how much she is growing and changing, in every way possible. I am so proud of the young lady she is becoming.

On PART of my new wall decor, thanks to Becky for the idea! So new wall decor = an excuse to take new photos of each of my kiddos!! Yes, I am a freak and I take pictures ALL the time, I like it okay? So I have been busy coordinating outfits and taking pictures. I just decided to post one tonight because I am tired from a long day at my parents, taking pictures, chasing boys and riding tractors and the like :)
